Palmgarden – Image Film
Palmgarden stands out as one of the most creatively satisfying projects in my editing journey so far. It was a rare opportunity in the corporate space where I was given complete artistic freedom with a basic limit — with only a few restrictions. That openness made the entire process incredibly rewarding.
What I particularly love about this film is how seamlessly the VFX elements were integrated using Adobe After Effects. They're invisible in the best possible way—subtle enhancements that support the story without pulling focus. The edit itself was done in Premiere Pro, where I had the chance to fully lean into a style I truly enjoy.
I'm especially proud of the use of match cuts, particularly around the 7–8 second mark, which helped maintain a visual rhythm throughout. I was also thrilled to make liberal use of jump cuts—something not often welcomed in high-end image films. But thanks to the dynamic, slightly hectic music selection, I had the chance to push the edit in a more energetic direction that still contrasts beautifully with the elegant tone of the brand. And in the end, the mix works.
The film was directed and produced by Dirk Polte, a creative partner I’ve been working with for over ten years across many successful projects. While I would’ve loved to capture a few more scenes to enrich the narrative, the freedom we had here allowed me to craft something I'm genuinely proud of.
Created in 2019, Palmgarden was a true highlight of that year—especially during a time when many other clients were operating under strict, creative limitations. This project reminded me how much freedom evelope a project when creativity is allowed to lead.
